The St. Louis Cardinals honored their Minor League Award winners this weekend.

Outfielder Daryl Jones and pitcher Jess Todd were named the Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year respectively in the Cardinals system.

Jones, who played at two different levels, hit a combined .316 with 13 homeruns, 24 stolen bases and a .407 on base percentage. He played at Class-A Palm Beach and Class-AA Springfield.

Jones also garnered the Cardinals Minor League Player of the Month Award for the month of August. Jones was drafted by the Cardinals in the 2005 draft with the 110th pick in the third round.

Jess Todd went a combined 8-6 with a 2.88 ERA at three different levels in 28 games. His opponent batting average was a measly .213 at Palm Beach, Springfield and Triple-A Memphis.

Todd was named to the Futures Game squad that was played at Yankee Stadium earlier this season. He was drafted by the Cardinals in the 2007 draft with the 82nd pick in the second round. He was also named a Texas League All-Star in 2008.
