Cubs Prospect Indicted

Chicago Cubs prospect Julio Castillo, 21, was indicted on charges of felonious assault on Thursday.

Castillo threw a ball into the stands and hit a fan in a game between Peoria and Dayton at Dayton. The fan was taken to the hospital and released after being treated for a concussion.

Castillo threw the ball towards the Dayton dugout during a bench clearing brawl trying to hit an opposing player but it sailed into the stands and hit a fan instead.

If Castillo is convicted of the crime he could face up to 16 years in prison for his acts. He will be arrainged on November 13th.

Castillo still remains in the Cubs organization but might be released pending his arraignment.
